Today as I walk the show floor at Cisco Live in London, I’m struck by just how vast the internet of everything really is. I’ve been tweeting from my smart phone all day, but it’s much more than that. From the security cameras in the building to the lights on the show floor and everything in between, the internet is really everywhere and so is the opportunity to make it more efficient.
It’s really hard to fathom just how much energy the show itself is consuming. Helping people make the most of their energy is our mission, and at the Schneider Electric booth, P6 for those of you who are at the show, we’re showing how you can control your energy consumption by bringing your own energy online. It has been great to see not only the physical connection of devices and the monitoring of downstream office assets via Schneider Electric’s EnergyStep@Work and Cisco EnergyWise but also the connection between Schneider Electric and our partner teams at Cisco. We’re very proud of the work we’ve done to continue to bring increased energy efficiency to the internet of everything, and you can rest assured, the connections go far beyond the devices themselves. It’s the people who make our joint solutions work.
