As Vice President of Security Business Development Asia Pacific, Jean-Baptiste Hazard oversees a dynamic and diverse region, which includes China, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and Australia. He assumed his current role in June 2009 and is based in Shanghai, China. Hazard joined Schneider Electric in 1999 and has held positions of increasing responsibility since. He began with the company in the United States as project manager for Business Development and Strategy North America. He later became the manufacturing and logistics manager for a Plant in Electrical Distribution in France. He eventually led BCV Technologies, a Schneider Electric subsidiary in Electrical Distribution with full profit and loss responsibilities and global sales force management. Hazard holds an MBA from HEC in Paris, France, a master’s degree in engineering from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines, in Paris, France and completed his undergraduate studies in math and science.
