Hector Martinez as part of the IT Business Unit in Schneider Electric is responsible for the strategy and development of critical power and cooling business for industry and infrastructure segments in Latin America.
Hector has over 20 years of experience in power quality and power availability for critical processes. His main responsibilities are to insure the successful growth of IT business in non IT applications through the definition and deployment of Secure Power strategy in Latin America. Hector Martinez as part of the IT Business Unit in Schneider Electric is responsible for the strategy and development of critical power and cooling business for industry and infrastructure segments in Latin America.
Hector has over 20 years of experience in power quality and power availability for critical processes. His main responsibilities are to insure the successful growth of IT business in non IT applications through the definition and deployment of Secure Power strategy in Latin America. His main objectives are the development of new channels to access strategic segments, recommend marketing investments to further develop demand and new opportunities and to foster collaboration with other business units within Schneider Electric. Hector is also responsible for leading the team of technical experts of power and cooling in Latin America.
Prior to his current position he served as business development manager for Data Center Solutions. He also contributed to the implementation of the technical engineering structure needed to support a successful commercialization of major projects.
He held the positions of systems engineer manager, InfraStruxure marketing and operations manager and Applications Engineering manager.
Héctor Martínez graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana with a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineer and a Masters degree in Systems by Universidad La Salle in México City. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrican and Electronic Engineers IEEE and member of the Mexican Society of Power Electronics (SOMEP).
Among other activities he enjoys: running, cycling and astronomy.
