George Karayannis
Public Sector Segment Lead
George Karayannis currently leads Schneider Electric’s Public Sector Segment, with over 30 years of experience in sustainable energy solutions, complex systems, and emerging technologies. He has led Smart Cities teams at Honeywell, Panasonic, Lockheed Martin and AT&T. George has served as an elected council member and as an ICBM Launch Crew member in the US Air Force. He also authored a book on the ISO 37120 Smart City global standards and restored an historic opera house. George holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, a master’s in business from Case Western Reserve, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
