Diego Areces is globally responsible for Schneider Electric’s Mining, Mineral and Metals business, developing strategic customer relationships that enable their sustainable growth.

Currently based in China, since May 2011, Diego started his career with Schneider Electric in 1995 in Argentina, and then relocating to the USA in 1998.

Diego holds degrees in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Digital Communication, from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Certificate in Administration and Management from Harvard University. Diego is a founding member of the Modbus organization.
