From mentorship to leadership: My path to becoming an offer leader

As we continue our series of blogs this March, we delve into the inspiring journeys of women at Schneider Electric, highlighting how diverse perspectives not only enrich our workplace but also propel our success.

In this blog, we’re excited to share the career story of Sireethorn, whose journey at Schneider highlights adaptability, continuous learning, and the power of mentorship.

I started my journey with Schneider Electric in the Energy Generation Program (EGP), and the reason I chose to join Schneider over other companies is the opportunity it provides for career exploration before committing to a specific role. As a new graduate, I believe it is common to be uncertain about one’s career path. This program offers a valuable chance to identify and develop our strengths, whether they are in commercial or technical areas, and to discover the fields where we can grow.

In my second role in the program, I acted as an offer marketing assistant. This initial phase was crucial in building my foundation. I was fortunate to have a mentor early in my career who had over 10 years of experience as a marketing professional. Her passion for understanding market needs and trends, along with their ability to craft compelling campaigns, truly inspired me. She taught me the importance of creativity and data-driven decision-making, which has significantly shaped my path in marketing. This mentorship provided a valuable perspective on the role of an offer leader.

Navigating new challenges and learning

For this rotation, I was tasked with managing campaigns and end-to-end flow for Panel Builders on new product launches. One of the key lessons I learned was the importance of understanding the positioning of our product and the whole process of new product launch. I remember that initially I didn’t perform well because I didn’t understand the pricing strategies and the mechanisms behind the process. After I got feedback from my mentor, I did some research and made adjustments, and I saw a significant improvement.

This experience reinforced the need for adaptability, a key trait for any aspiring offer leader. This experience highlighted the importance of adaptability and continuous learning. As an Offer Leader today, I prioritize market research and consistently ensure that the process is running smoothly.

Evolving roles and skill development

My role has evolved significantly over the years. After joining the Services team and acting as a Recurring and Digital Champion, I took on full responsibilities as an Offer Leader, including annual strategic planning and leading digital transformation for both internal and external customers.

Throughout this journey, I’ve developed several key skills. Data analytics has become a core strength, allowing me to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights to optimize campaigns and customize content for maximum impact. Additionally, my communication skills have advanced, enabling me to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present ideas to stakeholders.

Driving digital transformation and customer engagement

Overall, this evolution has equipped me with a diverse skill set that supports my current role as a digital services leader. I continue to drive successful marketing initiatives, contribute to the growth of the organization, and sustain digitization efforts.

I am most proud of leading a successful digital transformation project that significantly improved our customer engagement and streamlined internal processes. This project not only enhanced our service delivery but also positioned Schneider as a leader in digital innovation within the industry. This project showcased the impact of a dedicated offer leader in driving meaningful impact.

Future aspirations and continuous growth

I continuously strive to understand customer needs and tailor our solutions to fit their requirements perfectly. In the future, I plan to explore a range of technologies that can enhance our consultancy services and strengthen our long-term relationships with clients.

My advice would be to stay curious and never stop learning. The marketing field and digital offering is constantly evolving, so it’s crucial to keep up with the latest market trends and technologies. Additionally, don’t be afraid to take risks and experiment with new ideas. Always be prepared, as this will help you appear more professional in front of customers. Building a strong network and seeking mentorship can also provide valuable guidance and support as you grow in your career.

Looking ahead and embracing innovation

What excites me the most is the potential for innovation and growth. With advancements in digital technology, we have the opportunity to create more personalized and engaging experiences for our customers. Schneider’s commitment to sustainability and digital transformation perfectly aligns with my passion for driving positive change and making a meaningful impact!

The future of the offer leader role is bright, with many opportunities for growth and innovation.

Sireethorn’s journey is a powerful reminder of how curiosity and determination can transform a career at Schneider Electric.

As we share more inspiring career stories throughout March, we celebrate not only the achievements of our colleagues but also the collective commitment of Schneider Electric employees to embrace diverse perspectives.
