One Team, One Goal: Driving business results through purposeful collaboration

In today’s digital world, I value and appreciate the opportunities I get to spend face-to-face with my team. These interactions not only strengthen our relationships, but they fuel productivity, particularly through cross-functional workshops.

At Schneider Electric, we understand that true success comes from operating as “One Team,” harnessing the collective strength of our people as a cohesive unit rather than in isolated silos. Embracing the One Team philosophy—working seamlessly across our organization, teams, and functions to better serve our customers—has been instrumental. I invite you to join me in reflecting on some recent in-person engagements that have reinforced my energy and bolstered my confidence in our teams.

Energizing One Team Connections Across Mexico

In June, I had the pleasure of visiting three of our Schneider Electric locations in Mexico, engaging in collaborative discussions and connecting with colleagues. It was an excellent opportunity to immerse myself in an environment that has truly embraced the idea of One Team, while meeting with a sizable portion of our North America (NAM) IT team in-person for the first time.

Joined by my leadership team, we kicked-off the week in Mexico City at our Polanco office with a Town Hall for local IT team members. This was followed by a tour of the new state-of-the-art plant and NAM IT Depot in Rojo Gomez. The Depot is a central location we have created to increase efficiency in setting up, personalizing, and shipping consolidated IT asset packages to new hires. The new NAM IT Depot is incredibly impressive and high performing. In only its first few months of operations, it has significantly reduced our employee asset fulfillment times and increased Day 1 asset delivery to 99.9% for new hires! I express my sincerest gratitude to all teams involved in this achievement. The team’s exceptional work and dedication over the last 18 months is a true testament to what we can achieve when we come together as One Team.

We ended our travels in the new Monterrey Hub location, a vibrant office full of activity and energy, where we participated in meet-and-greets with local IT colleagues and hosted an in-person Town Hall. The desire for connections and in-person collaboration for local employees is evident in this hub as the need for expansion has already been identified and planned within three months of its opening.

I left Mexico feeling proud and excited for the future of NAM IT and the promising collaborations ahead.

In a similar fashion, I recently embraced and experienced One Team in action during a recent trip to Barcelona. I continue to be deeply impressed at what we can accomplish when we bring cross-functional teams together to collaborate.

Two Teams Becoming One: Face-to-Face Collaboration in Barcelona

In July, the NAM and Global Digital Customer Relationship (DCR) leadership teams gathered for a bi-annual face-to-face workshop in Barcelona, Spain at the Bac de Roda office. It was a pleasure to attend alongside the NAM IT and NAM DCR team and truly exercise our Power Couple model concept; a dual delivery leadership model to create value and alignment across digital and business domains as One Team.

These workshops mark a pivotal moment for the greater team to strive for excellence in collaboration, insight sharing and digital prioritization across North America, the largest and fastest growing region for Schneider Electric. This outcome-driven session allowed the team to align our priorities to digitally enable a world-class customer experience.

A highlight of the event was attending and participating in the engaging fireside chat with leadership from around the globe and over 170 participants in-person and online. It was a wonderful and productive week. I appreciated all the collaboration and support of our growing region.

Why it matters

I’ve shared only two recent examples among the many enriching collaborations I have experienced throughout my 10 years with Schneider Electric. I firmly believe that coming together as One Team, with more opportunities to connect across functions, creates unrivaled benefits that drive business results. Such benefits include the strengthening of relationships between teams, enhanced trust and collaboration among the organization, opportunities for improved innovation and incubation, and more. We know that by working better together internally, we provide a better experience externally to our customers.

What steps are you taking to build a cohesive team of teams within your own organization?
