Cloud computing is now being embraced by a majority of enterprises of all sizes. Yesterday’s debate about public vs. private has transformed into the reality of hybrid cloud: a recent survey shows that 74% of enterprises have a hybrid cloud strategy. Cloud Expo is the single show where delegates and technology vendors can meet to experience and discuss the entire world of the cloud. Only Cloud Expo brings together all this in a single location:
Cloud Computing, Big Data, SDDC, IoT, DevOps and WebRTC.
Good stuff – we all know Schneider Electric is a leading supplier of all things physical infrastructure for large cloud data centers with our Switchgear, BMS and DCIM software, IT Racks, PDU’s, power protection, Cooling, Services, etc…. However, this cloud architecture is evolving from a straight cloud computing architecture into a hybrid type of architecture with most enterprises using cloud services as well as keeping an on-premise data center. Some of the drivers for this hybrid approach and putting computing power on the edge of the network can be to support new IoT applications, increase service levels, and increase security.
That’s exactly what I will be discussing in my presentation – The Benefits of Localized Data Centers on the Network Edge. We will discuss how new capabilities can be deployed into the network – the ability to run IT based servers at network edge, applying the concepts of cloud computing.
We will present the key benefits of the localized data centers and review the different options available. Schneider Electric provides the physical infrastructure that power the digitization of business and will enable IoT to change our world.
