APC by Schneider Electric has had a long history with Dell, dating back at least 22 years, providing power protection for Dell servers and networking equipment. As a result, Dell continues to be one of APC’s largest technology partners.

Now the relationship is taking a big step forward, as Dell will be selling APC-engineered Dell-branded Smart-UPS and racks, along with a wider assortment of APC branded UPSs and PDUs. The partnership with Dell allows us to provide our customers better integrated systems and the peace of mind knowing that our products integrate seamlessly. We consider this step a great vote of confidence in the APC by Schneider Electric brand and a nod to the Legendary Reliability™ of our equipment.

A recent Dell ad describes this relationship and each company’s core competencies best:

You trust Dell to deliver exceptional IT management solutions. Dell trusts APC to protect them.

While Smart-UPS are generally used in smaller offices, network closets and server rooms, Dell will be selling the full suite of Schneider Electric UPSs, racks and PDUs that are suitable for virtually any IT or data center environment. As with its PCs and servers, Dell makes it easy to configure the physical infrastructure solution that best fits the customer’s needs.  At www.dellups.com, Dell provides customers easy-to-use tools to configure racks, PDUs and UPSs, whether by load or device type.

It’s rewarding for a company with a reputation like Dell’s to partner with Schneider Electric and sell our equipment under its own brand. I expect customers, too, will see the value in being able to buy a best-in-breed solution of UPSs, PDUs and racks at the same time they’re buying new computers, servers and networking gear from Dell.

I look forward to another 20+ years of a fruitful, rewarding relationship with our partner Dell.
