The challenges of today’s global economic landscape have forced companies large and small to act with agility and decisiveness to shore up resources and ensure business continuity. The hotel industry’s situation has been particularly dynamic. As business models and revenue streams are disrupted (if only temporarily), the need to reduce expenses and increase efficiency has never been greater.

As experts in energy efficiency who are concerned about the global issues around energy, Schneider Electric has made it part of its mission to share our knowledge to help organizations and institutions of all kinds improve their ability to maximize systems, reduce energy consumption, meet sustainability goals, and save money. The vehicle we use to share this critical information is Energy University.

The quality of our courses has also earned us 25 industry endorsements.

Take the Customized Path to Increased Efficiency and Sustainability

For the hospitality industry, we have worked with some of the world’s leading global hotel chains—including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, and Accor—to develop highly effective, customized learning paths. These customized development paths identify training needs and provide a custom solution via Energy University. These tailored paths also give each customer their own metrics by which to track usage and allow employees to fulfill internal career development requirements. We also have a new learning path for Hotel Engineering & Operations Staff open to all hotel employees who do not already have a custom learning path (as mentioned above).

In addition to these dedicated learning paths, Energy University also offers two certification courses that are a great way for individuals to grow in their careers and bring added value to their organizations:

  • Professional Energy Manager (PEM) Certification — Offered in partnership with the Institute of Energy Professionals, this course in the growing field of energy management is offered either in a US version or SI Non-US version.
  • Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) Certification — This course provides foundational knowledge of critical infrastructure in the Data Center, including base-level proficiency in the elements of cooling, power, racks, cabling, fire protection, management, and physical security.

Get Started Today – It’s Easy and Free

Despite the critical nature of energy concerns in the modern world, there remains a lack of quality education opportunities for the people who need such opportunities most. At Schneider Electric, we believe in sharing our knowledge freely because we believe that a more educated population of consumers will ultimately create a healthier planet; and that’s good for everyone. We are proud to offer our customers the tools and information they need to become true catalysts of change in the industry.

Now, more than ever before, we invite hospitality organizations and the people who run them to take advantage of the vast resources available through Energy University. In times of upheaval and uncertainty, often the best thing we can do is become more educated about our situation and what we can do about it. Energy efficiency is one area in which there are always ways to improve. And getting started is easy—just register for a free Energy University account and let the learning begin.

  • I’ve been working in the field for 4 years now. I have my own tech business in Brazil, focused on energy management. In the beginning, Schneider courses and materials were very valuable to me. They have helped me a lot in understanding the technical elements behind every energy efficiency measure and strategy. Thank you for that, keep up with generating quality work.
I still use a lot of it when working at cubienergia.com

    Cheers
