Mersin City Hospital is not only one of the largest healthcare facilities in Turkey, it’s also the first facility built using the country’s Public and Private Partnership (PPP) finance model. Graded as an EMRAM Stage 6 by HIMSS and recognized as the “Best PPP Project” at the EMEA Finance Awards, Mersin is a state-of-the-art facility that provides world-class treatment and ensures the highest levels of safety and comfort for patients. Committed to being a digital hospital from day one, this 1,300 bed campus harnesses technology to create a modern, IoT-enabled healthcare environment.

For hospitals of this size, power management and operational efficiency are critical. Mersin needed a reliable power management solution that would help them keep energy costs low, and a building management solution that would improve operations. To achieve these goals the company behind the project, CCN Holding, joined forces with Schneider Electric to implement EcoStruxure for Healthcare. Leveraging Schneider’s advanced IoT-enabled architecture, Mersin was able to improve their energy efficiency, streamline operations, and create a power management system that guarantees power for the facility.

“With Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure for Healthcare solution, we were able to establish three different sources of power, and the power management and monitoring software ensures power reliability and continuity even in the worst-case scenario.” – Timur Balta, Health General Manager of CCN Holding

By blending three domains of expertise—Power, Building, and IT—EcoStruxure for Healthcare delivered tangible benefits to the hospital across the entire ecosystem, from patients and doctors to the operations team and the executive board.
