As a founding director of The Green Grid Association, a group with a mission to drive accountable, effective, resource-efficient end-to-end ICT ecosystems, he has spent many years as a board officer and Green Grid content contributor.

Mr. Tipley is the vice president for industry and government alliances in Schneider Electric’s IT Business, with global responsibilities for influence on industry standards and government regulations. As a founding director of The Green Grid Association, a group with a mission to drive accountable, effective, resource-efficient end-to-end ICT ecosystems, he has spent many years as a board officer and Green Grid content contributor.
Mr. Tipley also participates in other industry influencing associations, such as the Information Technology Industry Council and has contributed to the development of Energy Star and EPEAT server standards. In the past he has served as president and chairman of the board for the non-profit PCI-SIG. To date, the US Patent and Trademark Office has granted 22 patents to Mr. Tipley.
