Mike Hughes has held significant roles including Zone President for the UK and Ireland before stepping into his current role leading the company’s fast-growing business across the Nordics and Baltics.

Throughout his career, Hughes has been a clear voice within the new energy landscape, energy efficiency, cybersecurity, the digital revolution, and the drive towards net-zero emissions. He has emphasized the importance of smart technology and sustainable practices within the industry and discussed how digital transformation and increased connectivity bring both benefits and challenges to the energy sector. During his time in the UK, Hughes was also involved in expanding manufacturing facilities to support the transition to renewable energy, highlighting the potential for enhancing competencies and production capabilities within the country.

With more than 20 years of experience within energy management and industrial automation, Hughes’ leadership at Schneider Electric has been marked by a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and addressing the complexities of the modern energy landscape. In 2023 he took over as Zone President for the Nordic Baltic Zone and currently lives in Stockholm, Sweden.
