Hal Grant began his career with Square D in 1985 as a manufacturing engineer at the company’s Cedar Rapids, Iowa, manufacturing facility. He had been with Schneider Electric for over 25 years before leaving the company and had held increasingly responsible positions within the organization.

In 1998, Hal relocated to Grenoble, France, as Vice President, Low Voltage Components, responsible for managing the low voltage components activity on a global basis.

Hal Grant began his career with Square D in 1985 as a manufacturing engineer at the company’s Cedar Rapids, Iowa, manufacturing facility. He had been with Schneider Electric for over 25 years before leaving the company and had held increasingly responsible positions within the organization.

In 1998, Hal relocated to Grenoble, France, as Vice President, Low Voltage Components, responsible for managing the low voltage components activity on a global basis.

In January of 2000, Hal was named Sr. Vice President, Development and Technologies, relocating to Nashville, Tennessee. His responsibilities included all research and development activities in North America, product management activities, and close collaboration with Schneider Electric global development and technology initiatives.

In February of 2002, Hal was named Sr. Vice President, South East Asia, relocating to Singapore. He was responsible for further developing the business in the ASEAN countries and ensuring outstanding support to customers in the region.

In January of 2004, Hal relocated to Paris, France, to take the new post of Executive Vice President, Globalization and Industry. In this role, he was responsible for the Industrial and Information technology sectors of Schneider Electric.

In January of 2010, Hal relocated to Shanghai, China, to take the new post of Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain. In this role, he was responsible for the Global Schneider Electric Supply Chain Strategy and the operational role for the majority of the Supply Chain as well as the Global Customer Satisfaction and Quality of the company.

In 2012, Hal Grant decided to take a sabbatical to pursue other personal interests. During this period of time, he did various consulting and investing.

In February 2014, coming back from his sabbatical, Hal was appointed Executive Vice President, IT Business.
The IT Business is a global leader in Schneider Electric’s markets and represents 15% of Schneider Electric’s revenue. Through innovative products and solutions along with management software and services, the Business ensures the availability of IT enabled systems within Home and Business Networks, Data Centers and Secure Power Systems for industry.
