Carol is an energy and sustainability enthusiast who is passionate about energy access. Growing up in rural Kenya, she experienced energy poverty firsthand, and this made her develop an interest in finding solutions to this challenge. She is an experienced business leader with over 18 years of experience having worked at KPMG, Unilever, and GE, and is currently the Country President for Schneider Electric in East Africa. She is an experienced business leader with over 18 years of experience having worked at KPMG, Unilever, and GE, and is currently the Country President for Schneider Electric in East Africa. In this role, she is tasked with the responsibility of leading Schneider Electric’s growth vision in the region and driving alignment in strategy and process across its Building, Datacenter, Industry, and Access to Energy business portfolio. Prior to her appointment as the Country President, she worked as the Building and Access to Energy Director for East Africa, a role that allowed her to transform energy access for the communities as well as the building segment in East Africa.
