Sustainability Lead - Cloud Service Providers
Alex Rakow is the Sustainability Lead for the Cloud & Service Provider segment, where he works with data center operators to advance their sustainability and energy performance. He serves as Project Co-Lead for Sustainability at the Open Compute Project, and as chair of the Equipment Working Group for the iMasons Climate Accord. He is also the author of two books, Energy Resilient Buildings and Communities (2015), and Powering Through: Energy Resilience Planning from Grid to Government (2023). Alex earned a BS in Environmental Science from Cornell University, and an MA in Economic Development from Johns Hopkins University.
