Transitioning from university to the buzzing hive of corporate life can be a bit like going from riding a tricycle to driving a Formula 1 car. Schneider Electric’s grad program has been my trusty instructor, guiding me through the twists and turns of professional growth. From mentorship to hands-on projects, the learning curve has been steep but so rewarding. As someone who’s currently navigating the Grad Program, let me share with you my firsthand experience and five awesome perks of joining such a program.
Professional growth
First up, let’s talk about the countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. At Schneider, I’ve been thrown into a whirlwind of projects and responsibilities. Each one pushing me to be better than I was the day before. Whether it’s mastering new technical skills (I use the term “mastering” quite loosely, I still have a complicated relationship with Microsoft Excel unfortunately) or learning the art of teamwork and leadership, the program has been my ultimate training ground for becoming a workplace asset.
From campus to corporate
Graduating university to finding your place in the corporate world can be daunting. However, being part of a graduate program eases this transition by providing support and guidance every step of the way. Schneider’s onboarding process has been instrumental in helping me navigate this transition smoothly. It has enabled me to adapt quickly and thrive in my current rotation.
Competition in the office
Now, let’s talk about the cool stuff. Now it’s nearing lunch, and I’m feeling quite hungry. Not for food though but for the sweet taste of victory in the array of games available for us to relax with. Again, I use the term “relax” quite loosely because losing foosball is not really an option for me. The level 7 cafeteria is not really the level 7 cafeteria without the constant reassuring sound of the ping pong ball being smacked around while you devour your lunch in 10 minutes waiting for your turn to embarrass your fellow graduates.
Living the sustainability dream
Picture this: working for a company that’s not just in it for the profits but also for the planet. That’s Schneider Electric for you. As one of the world’s most sustainable companies, Schneider Electric is on a mission to make the world a greener, cleaner place. Being part of that mission is nothing short of inspiring. It’s like getting paid to save the world—what’s not to love?
Making friends and building bridges
Last but not least, let’s talk about the people. From seasoned pros to fellow grads, the Schneider Electric family is a diverse and welcoming bunch. Whether it’s grabbing coffee with a mentor or brainstorming ideas with my fellow grads, the sense of community here is second to none. It’s not just about networking; it’s about building lifelong friendships and finding your place in the corporate jungle.
