As AVEVA World 2024 draws closer, I am excited to connect with over 3,500 customers, partners, and experts to discuss how industrial software is driving smarter, more efficient operations for a better planet. I encourage you to register here and join me to learn from industry-leading experts.

At the upcoming event, I am eager to learn from Roslagsvatten as they share details of their ongoing digital transformation journey with AVEVA and Schneider Electric. They are embracing cutting-edge technologies to drive efficiency and sustainability. By prioritizing standardization, they aim to minimize operational variations and costs, ensuring a seamless and consistent experience across the board. I’m excited to see how the collaboration is helping to make their vision of creating a digitized workplace that empowers employees a reality.

Alongside this presentation, there will be many other exciting talks on Water as the agenda starts taking shape.

Last year, I had the opportunity to also attend AVEVA World 2023. As I reflect on the event, being surrounded by so many inspiring people is always the best part of AVEVA World for me. I’ve attended the event for five years in a row, and every time I go, I’m inspired by all the innovation that’s going on in our industry.

As AVEVA continues to grow through its smart acquisitions, each annual conference showcases more ideas. AVEVA has evolved rapidly, from a software provider to a true tech leader providing industrial intelligence-as-a-service to customers across the world.

Last year, I joined the event’s ‘Infrastructure’ track – covering all the sessions on Water, Facilities, Transport and Marine. These types of peer-to-peer discussions are extremely powerful to watch and engage with. What’s more, they are focused on customer benefits, as opposed to being mere vendor pitches.

The AVEVA World agenda really showcased how technologies can serve a strategic purpose for the water industry. There was a lot of candid sharing among water utilities companies as they generally do not compete against each other – Dallas is unlikely to want to supply Paris with drinking water, for example.

In one excellent presentation, “Dallas Water: Modernization of water pumping and distribution infrastructure”, Raul Aranda from the City of Dallas, showed how the area is embarking on a comprehensive modernization of its water pumping and distribution infrastructure. This project will see a decade-old system upgraded to a state-of-the-art integrated infrastructure including Enterprise SCADA, PI system, cybersecurity, and alarm/detection solutions.

To find out more about how Schneider Electric and AVEVA are working to support global water needs, I’d recommend diving into some of the fascinating insights that came out of the AVEVA World 2023 event here.

And don’t forget to register for AVEVA World 2024 here.
