Tushar Choudhury, Marketing Communications Manager, Gulf & Pakistan, Schneider Electric told me “We have seen a significant rise in the number of registrations over last year. At our inaugural Dubai event over 600 senior professionals attended – this year we anticipate over 500 visitors on each of the two days. It demonstrates a keen interest not just in enterprise energy management, but in the way the whole region can benefit from the intelligent use of resources through smart infrastructure to reduce emissions and waste.”

Schneider Electric’s “Power to the Cloud 2013” Data Center Solutions Conference will stage continuous seminar sessions alongside over 1400 sq metres of exhibition space featuring a range of simulated environments including hotels, telcos, hospitals, universities, Electric Vehicle Charging stations and data centers. Additionally there are displays of typical applications in airports, power generation and transmission, water and waste water treatment and a Smart Integration showcase.

On the second day the event will play host to a unique and exclusive meeting for over 100 of the Middle East’s most influential CIOs. This, together with the full event agenda will support executives in their work to optimise their IT operations whilst also expanding their footprint. Schneider Electric partners including IBM, Cisco, Dell and HP and a host of other leading IT businesses will also be presenting case studies based upon about successful customer deployments for delegates to learn from.

“Power to the Cloud was conceived because there is no other event where customers are presented with the benefits of convergence that can be obtained by implementing efficiency strategies for Smart Cities, Energy Management and the data center environment. Power to the Cloud shows how energy management can positively impact all walks of life, from governments and business to the consumer and the environment. We’ve put together an expanded event that we believe will provide attendees with actionable information and knowledge to take away and utilise,” said Tushar.

The content of the presentations has been specifically shaped to help ensure attendees benefit from the latest in thinking and developments from industry across a range of subjects. Schneider Electric has gained best practice and learnings from customer deployments across the globe to give attendees a wide range of detailed sessions to choose from including:

  • Why and how the data center has to be tuned for Cloud, Smart Grid & Smart Cities
  • The Internet of things
  • Emerging focus on Green IT
