After studying electrical engineering at University, working in a drives and controls company and then a few hugely entertaining and rewarding years in datacomms, Guy joined the family firm, BPX, in the late 80’s. At that time, it was an East Midlands business with 30 staff, two locations, and a panel building subsidiary. Today, BPX is a network of fourteen locations across the UK and Ireland with nearly 200 people in five companies and three further trading identities.
Guy is responsible for the business strategy, inspiring the marketing department to even more creativity, working with the back-office to streamline the process, encouraging the IT department to adopt the latest and greatest technologies, and challenging the sales and support teams to ever better skills and competencies. But most importantly of all, Guy supports BPX’s brilliant, hard-working, and diverse colleagues to stay healthy in heart and mind. Guy views BPX as one big family, in a family firm and family look after each other.
