Why supporting youth mental health matters – and why Schneider Electric is taking action

Around the world, young people are entering the workforce with rising levels of stress, pressure, and uncertainty. Recent research shows that 65% of Gen Z workers have experienced mental‑health challenges – nearly twice the rate of Boomers (34%). This generation will soon represent the largest share of the global workforce, and their well-being will shape the resilience, creativity, and impact of companies for decades to come.

Taking part in the Run for All allowed me to feel truly engaged in an initiative that connects performance, solidarity, and mental well‑being. As an SE apprentice, I’m proud to contribute to a program that promotes well‑being and collective support within Schneider.” – Milla BOUVIER – ALTERNANTE – Cheffe de projet RSE

At Schneider Electric, we power everyone to feel safe, respected, and uniquely valued, so we perform our best and create sustainable IMPACT together.

We believe that mental health is an essential part of overall well-being. It influences how people feel, think, learn, build relationships, and perform – at school, at work, and in life. Mental health challenges can affect anyone, which is why we continue investing in awareness, education, and access to resources so people can care for themselves and support one another without stigma.

Running has taught me a lot about resilience – something every young person deserves the chance to build with the right support. And even though I’m not running this year, the spirit of the Run for All still resonates with me. Supporting youth mental health isn’t just compassionate; it’s an investment in the potential of the next generation. I’m proud that Schneider Electric stands with organisations like Nightline to ensure young people have someone to turn to when challenges feel overwhelming. No one should have to face those moments alone.” – Gwenaelle HUET – EVP Industrial Automation

That’s why, in 2026, Schneider Electric Run for All, is proud to support Nightline, a charity providing confidential, non‑judgmental listening services for students facing stress, anxiety, or emotional hardship. Nightline offers a safe space during a formative period of life – helping the next generation enter the workforce stronger, healthier, and better equipped for the future.

Students often turn to us when they’re going through tough times. Thanks to Schneider Electric’s support, we’re able to be there for them: to listen to them, support them, and offer them a free, anonymous, and compassionate space to talk every night, when they need it most. – Nightline Team
