At Schneider Electric, our Services team plays a pivotal role in driving innovation and delivering value directly to our customers. As a company leading the way in digitization, decarbonization, and electrification, we are committed to shaping the future of industries and buildings through cutting-edge solutions.
In East Asia, our Services Representatives play a vital role in this mission. They are out there every day navigating busy cities, remote industrial sites, and everything in between. They work with purpose, solve problems in real time, and build trust with every customer interaction. Their role isn’t about routine. It’s about adaptability, independence, and making a real impact where it matters most.
At Schneider Electric, we call this being Wired Differently. And in East Asia, that mindset shows up in powerful ways.
We recently spoke with Services Representatives in East Asia across the Indonesia, Vietnam and Japan to hear what life in the field is really like.
Their stories reflect the work itself, the pride and the sense of purpose that comes with being a Services Representative

Nauval Mufti – Indonesia
Let me introduce myself, my name is Nauval Mufti, and I joined Schneider Electric in December 2013 as a Services Representative. I was previously part of Schneider Electric Cikarang, for manufacturing electrical panels, where I was a part of the quality team. In August 2023, I transitioned to the Services team, motivated by a desire to see how the panels I once inspected were used in the field. Since joining the Services team, I’ve participated in various projects, including the construction of the Microsoft data center in Indonesia, preventive maintenance in government buildings, relay replacements at a state power plant, and even supervising maintenance work in Indorama, Nigeria.
Yoshihito Okuda – Japan
I started my career originally in a mushroom bed production company for around five years. I then had a chance to join a partner company of a major Japanese heavy electric manufacturer, where I spent ten years handling the delivery, installation, testing, maintenance and repair of of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and power distribution equipment. Currently, I work at Schneider Electric, focusing on commissioning, regular inspections, and troubleshooting of secure power products like UPS Systems. I also support partner companies by creating manuals and providing on the job training.
Nguyen Nhat Sang – Vietnam
I graduated from Bach Khoa University in Ho Chih Min City, where I initially aspired to work in hydroelectric plants. To pursue that direction, I realized the importance of understanding electrical systems, so I interned at an electrical testing company and later secured my first full-time job at a local firm. After that, I joined Schneider Electric Services team, and I have been here for 5 years.
Services Representatives are more than just technicians, they’re the face of Schneider Electric in the field.
Every day, they take on real-world technical challenges. They often solve issues before they escalate, and ensure that critical infrastructure runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
But what inspires someone to take on this demanding and impactful role? We spoke with several of our Services Representatives in East Asia to learn what drew them to the field, and what keeps them motivated every day. Let’s take a closer look at the passion and purpose behind the people who power our Services team.

What does being part of the Services team at Schneider mean to you?
Nauval: For me, being part of a Services team means working together, not individually. We support one another and share knowledge to solve customer complaints, address problems, and meet expectations. As members of Schneider Electric’s Services team, we are always ready, anytime and anywhere, to be a reliable partner when customers need the right solutions to ensure the continuity of their business.
Sang: Working as a Services Representative offers a unique blend of autonomy, technical diversity, and real-world impact. From day one, engineers are empowered to make decisions and take ownership of their work, fostering leadership and accountability. The role provides hands-on exposure to a wide range of electrical systems, ensuring continuous learning through diverse projects. Each day brings new challenges that sharpen problem-solving skills and deliver visible, meaningful results. Whether it’s troubleshooting critical infrastructure or traveling to extraordinary sites like offshore rigs or airports, the job is as rewarding as it is dynamic.
Yoshihito: One of the unique aspects of this job is the opportunity to work in places that are normally off-limits or rarely visited, even locations that feel like travel destinations. There’s a sense of adventure and novelty in going to unfamiliar sites, and the job itself often feels special. We’re frequently called to respond to equipment issues on-site, sometimes under urgent conditions. While we occasionally receive criticism due to the impact on customer operations, we’re often met with appreciation after resolving the issue. That sense of gratitude makes the work truly rewarding.
What inspired you to pursue a career in Services at Schneider Electric?
Nauval: Being a Services Representative at Schneider Electric has taken me to places I had never visited before, allowing me to meet customers and help solve the challenges they face in maintaining their business operations. Each customer brings a unique story and set of problems, making the work dynamic and far from monotonous.
These diverse experiences push us to learn continuously, naturally expanding our knowledge day by day. While the job can be physically demanding, knowing that I play a small part in supporting our customers is incredibly motivating and brings a deep sense of pride and fulfillment.
Sang: Here, I found a place where I could apply my technical knowledge in real-world scenarios, directly supporting customers across Vietnam. The Services role is demanding, sometimes requiring me to be on-site at any hour, even in remote or offshore locations. But it’s also incredibly rewarding.
I’ve had the chance to work on major national projects, from oil rigs to airports. Every challenge has helped me grow both professionally and personally.
What keeps me committed is the opportunity to solve complex problems, see the results of my work immediately, and be part of a team that represents the face of Schneider to our customers. It’s not just a job, it’s a career that constantly pushes me to learn, adapt, and make a meaningful impact.
Yoshihito: Working in Services at Schneider Electric wasn’t something I planned from the start. It came about through a mix of timing, experience, and a bit of luck. I happened to be exploring new opportunities, and I just came across an opening with Schneider, a company I was already familiar with through my previous work on switchgear products. Even better, the role was in the UPS space, which I had hands-on experience with. It felt like everything aligned at the right moment.
Since joining, this role has taken me to places I’d never been before. It has introduced me to a wide range of customers, each with their own unique challenges. No two days are the same, and that’s what makes the work so engaging. Every site visit is a chance to learn something new. Whether it’s a technical skill, a different way of thinking, or simply discovering a great local meal spot.
I am also a big foodie, so food has become a fun part of the journey. When I’m out in the field, I often find myself wondering what the area is known for and where I should eat. It might sound small, but those little moments of curiosity and enjoyment help keep me motivated. The work can be physically demanding at times. But knowing that I’m helping businesses stay up and running gives me a strong sense of purpose.
The experiences shared by our Services team members offer a glimpse into the vital work they do every day.
Often behind the scenes, but always at the heart of our customer relationships. Their stories reflect not only technical skill and resilience, but also a deep sense of purpose in helping our business progress.
As someone who had the privilege of listening to and compiling these reflections, I’m reminded of just how essential Services Representatives are to Schneider Electric’s mission. And how much pride they take in making a real impact, one customer at a time.
