From Jobbsprånget internship to full-time: Aishwarya’s career at Schneider Electric

Aishwarya embarked on her Jobbsprånget internship with Schneider Electric in February 2024 under the mentorship of Sam Nelson, who leads the Secure Power RAC Data Center Execution Team. Within just four months, this experience proved invaluable, leading to her permanent employment as Project Technical Engineer at Schneider Electric from June 2024. The transition from internship to full-time role was seamless, and she attributes much of this success to the practical learning and exposure offered by the program.

What is Jobbsprånget?

Jobbsprånget is an initiative designed to help foreign professionals establish themselves in Sweden. It aims to enhance their skills and employability by offering internships that provide real-world experience in a Swedish work environment.

Schneider Electric’s Role in Jobbsprånget

At Schneider Electric, we are committed to supporting our community and fostering a diverse and inclusive culture. This is why we actively participate in the Jobbsprånget program. By doing so, we help individuals reevaluate, enhance, and apply their skills in a professional setting.

Aishwarya learned about Jobbsprånget through a previous participant who shared her positive experience and highly recommended the program. It connects professionals with leading companies seeking fresh, diverse talent. Motivated by the opportunity to apply her skills and gain practical experience, Aishwarya decided to apply.

Thriving at Schneider Electric: A diverse and supportive workplace

Schneider Electric welcomed her into a multicultural and collaborative work environment, ideal for learning, networking, and professional growth. She works closely with the Nordic Regional Application Data Center Team, collaborating with colleagues from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and other regions. The company’s emphasis on teamwork and innovation ensures that every team member’s input is valued—something that has truly enriched her experience.

A key catalyst in my smooth transition into the team was my manager, Sam Nelson, who also served as my mentor. His guidance was instrumental in my professional development, helping me refine my skills, understand the company’s work culture, and integrate seamlessly into my role.”

She appreciates Schneider Electric’s commitment to sustainability. As a company that prioritizes energy efficiency and solutions, Schneider Electric makes a tangible positive impact on the planet, aligning closely with her personal and professional values.
