Learning that Schneider Electric U.S. earned the #11 spot on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work 2025 list has been one of the highlights of my career at Schneider Electric. As the HR leader in North America, I’m filled with pride in my teams and appreciation for all our #SEGreatPeople who live our Purpose and create Impact for our customers every day.
This recognition is more than a feather in our cap; it is a testament to the collective efforts of our employees and the inclusive and caring culture we are building together.
Sharing experiences to enhance the employee experience.
I started my career at a time when sites like Glassdoor were just emerging. Then, the process of learning about a company’s culture and employee satisfaction involved a great deal of effort — and a murky sea of limited information. Today, the scenario is quite different. Platforms like Glassdoor have revolutionized the way job seekers and employers interact, making it easier for individuals to learn about what makes Schneider Electric a Best Place to Work.
For our HR team, Glassdoor has been an invaluable tool for understanding our employee experience. The insights and feedback we receive from current and former employees provide us with a candid look at our strengths and areas for improvement. In fact, I personally take the time to read every review, and take action when I see opportunities for us to do better as a company. This continuous feedback loop truly is crucial in helping us shape a workplace that sets our employees up for success.
Listening actively to build strong cultures.
Schneider Electric takes pride in creating a great work environment for its employees. We create this unique work environment by actively listening to our employees, promoting an open and transparent communication culture, and implementing employee-centric policies and practices.
Over the years, we introduced several initiatives to make Schneider Electric U.S. a Best Place to Work based on feedback from our employees. These initiatives are not just corporate strategies; they are foundational enhancements that create a culture of care and inclusion.
One of the cornerstones of our employee experience is our Flexibility@Work program. This initiative emerged from the understanding that the traditional 9-to-5 office job does not work for everyone. We recognize that our employees have diverse needs and responsibilities outside of work, and we are committed to supporting them in achieving a healthy work-life balance. Our flexible work arrangements allow employees to tailor their work schedules to fit their personal lives, whether it’s working from home, adjusting their hours, or taking a sabbatical.
Benefits are also critical elements of our employee experience. We have worked hard to develop a best-in-class benefits package that reflects our understanding of our employees diverse needs — including comprehensive health and wellness programs, retirement planning, and financial planning. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is hearing from employees about how our benefits have made a positive difference in their lives, whether it’s how our mental health and well-being programs have helped them lead healthier lives or our financial planning resources that have given them peace of mind.
We are committed to raising the bar
Our continuous listening efforts extend beyond formal programs and policies. We are committed to fostering a culture where employees feel heard and valued. This means regularly soliciting feedback through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one conversations, and then taking actionable steps based on that feedback. Several years ago, I heard from an employee who was struggling with infertility. Because of her story and suggestions, we added a world class fertility benefit for U.S. employees.
This recognition as a top employer on Glassdoor celebrates our culture, our values, and our unwavering commitment to our employees. However, it serves also a reminder that our journey is ongoing. We will continue to listen, learn, and evolve to ensure that Schneider Electric remains a place where employees can thrive both personally and professionally.
As we celebrate this achievement, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our employees. Their passion, dedication, and feedback are what make Schneider Electric a truly exceptional place to work.
