Schneider Electric’s Energy University Helping Hotels Maximize Efficiency and Cost Savings

This global resource includes more than 350 self-paced modules with easy-to-follow visuals and audio. Each module runs from 30 to 60 minutes long and is accessible 24/7. Since launching in 2006, Energy University has delivered in excess of 1.2 million courses to more than 650,000 users in 180+ countries around the world. The quality of our courses has also earned us 25 industry endorsements.

Take the Customized Path to Increased Efficiency and Sustainability

For the hospitality industry, we have worked with some of the world’s leading global hotel chains—including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, and Accor—to develop highly effective, customized learning paths. These customized development paths identify training needs and provide a custom solution via Energy University. These tailored paths also give each customer their own metrics by which to track usage and allow employees to fulfill internal career development requirements. We also have a new learning path for Hotel Engineering & Operations Staff open to all hotel employees who do not already have a custom learning path (as mentioned above).

In addition to these dedicated learning paths, Energy University also offers two certification courses that are a great way for individuals to grow in their careers and bring added value to their organizations:

  • Professional Energy Manager (PEM) Certification — Offered in partnership with the Institute of Energy Professionals, this course in the growing field of energy management is offered either in a US version or SI Non-US version.
  • Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) Certification — This course provides foundational knowledge of critical infrastructure in the Data Center, including base-level proficiency in the elements of cooling, power, racks, cabling, fire protection, management, and physical security.
