EcoStruxure™ IT solutions deliver on vision: Reflecting on 2025 and looking ahead to 2026

As we entered 2026, our vision for 2025 EcoStruxure™ IT was clear: empower the IT infrastructure operations of our customers with resilience, security, and sustainability. Looking back at the progress we made, I’m proud of how each solution in our portfolio evolved to support that mission: we strengthened cybersecurity and physical security, expanded monitoring capabilities, and advanced digital twin and simulation technology.

In 2026, we will accelerate our journey even further.

Security at every layer with EcoStruxure IT solutions

NetBotz

Security is the foundation of every EcoStruxure IT product, and we have made significant improvements to bolster both cyber and physical protection. NetBotz, our environmental and security monitoring platform, experienced a range of enhancements:

  • NetBotz 250A supports leak rope and will support up to 12 expansion sensor pods and rack access pods in early 2026.
  • NetBotz TAA offer for U.S. government clients—a milestone that opens the door to better serve federal deployments.
  • Compliance enhanced by adding EU RED Directive (2014/53/EU) support for NetBotz 250A to ensure we live up the security standards set by the European Union.

In 2026, we are also working to expand enhanced security handles with improved authentication capabilities, including biometric and PIN code multi-factor authentication, raising the bar for physical security in mixed and distributed IT environments.

Monitoring and management: A modern, integrated experience

Data Center Expert (DCE)

2025 was a transformative year for Data Center Expert or DCE. Perhaps the most visible shift was the simplification of the licensing model. By consolidating more than 300 commercial references down to 9, we removed a major barrier to deployment and renewal, making it easier for customers to scale and manage their systems. This simplification extended into the mySchneider software management portal, where customers now benefit from a far cleaner and more intuitive overview of their installed software.

At the product level, DCE continued its modernization journey as part of Ecostruxure IT solutions with the progressive rollout of a new Web UI and added support for liquid cooling monitoring through our Motivair integration. API improvements continued to be a priority, enabling tighter connectivity with partner systems.

In 2026, our team will continue to push DCE forward. We expect to achieve full Web UI functionality, enabling customers to operate the platform entirely through this modern interface. Scalability will also reach new heights, with a single DCE server capable of supporting up to 4,000 devices under SNMPv3—making the shift to more secure protocols easy and scalable. Security will be further strengthened through SSO and MFA support, ensuring that modern identity practices are embedded into the platform.

IT Expert (ITE)

For IT Expert, 2025 was a year when security, data, and actionable insights converged. Achieving ISO 27001 certification underscored the robustness of our cloud security framework. On the feature side, we expanded ITE’s ability to connect and communicate with other systems through Webhooks and richer API endpoints. Meanwhile, the introduction of video monitoring through NetBotz camera support added new dimensions to visibility.

One of the standout additions of the year was the new UPS Downtime Assessment, which helps customers identify locations with frequent power disturbances—a crucial step in prioritizing investments and improving resilience. We also rebuilt our alarm engine, empowering users to manage alarm storms more intelligently and configure more advanced threshold behaviour. And, like DCE, ITE gained support for monitoring liquid cooling through Motivair.

Looking ahead, 2026 will bring even more depth. We will expand regional data storage options to meet global compliance requirements and continue to grow our sustainability tooling, including the addition of CUE (Carbon Usage Effectiveness) into our reporting. Asset lifecycle management will become a major theme, with features such as UPS replacement forecasting and the ability to manage both third-party devices and services. On the intelligence side, we will introduce AI driven IT operations, including anomaly detection, data agents, and specialized insights for lithium-ion battery performance. An advanced alarm analyser will also help users move closer to true root cause analysis.

Digital Twin and simulation: Designing the future with precision in EcoStruxure IT solutions

IT Advisor (ITA)

IT Advisor or ITA made significant headway in 2025, as we continued to evolve it into a fully modern digital twin platform. The new Web UI progressed to 60% completion, bringing customers a dramatically improved navigation and visualization experience. Deep CFD (computational fluid dynamics) integrations accelerated the value of thermal modelling, while the introduction of our Cooling Optimize influence map helped data center operators better understand airflow impacts.

ITA also saw broader integration capabilities through public APIs and modelling improvements. Motivair units are now represented within the digital twin, and features such as network cable management, custom dashboard and reporting, and support for both light and dark display modes helped round out a more refined and flexible application.

In 2026, IT Advisor will gain a new dimension of capability. A new 3D engine will power the next generation of digital-twin visualization, bringing richer detail, faster interaction, and greater accuracy by supporting open USD and NVIDIA Omniverse. We’re also preparing deeper integrations with server vendors like HPE and Dell, enabling more holistic monitoring at both the facility and IT layers. Connections with ServiceNow, along with Power Monitoring Expert and EcoStruxure Building Operation, will provide a more complete operational view across electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.

One of the more exciting developments coming in 2026 is the introduction of an AR mobile application, allowing users to perform configuration, audits, and verification directly on the physical data center floor. Additionally, AI will play a growing role within ITA, from simulation support to an AI-driven chatbot designed to help users explore and optimize their environments more intuitively.

Like DCE, ITE, and other Schneider Electric software solutions, IT Advisor will move to a simplified licensing model. With this commercial modernization all our software offers will be simple to manage in one place on the mySchneider platform.
