Chris Leong

Chris Leong is a seasoned professional with extensive experience across continents and many disciplines including organization transformation, business strategy, digitization, sales and marketing. Chris started with Schneider Electric in January 2012 and since March 2015, Chris has been appointed to the role of Chief Marketing Officer, part of the Schneider Electric Executive Committee Leadership Team. On top of being tasked to build the Schneider Electric brand and marketing power, Chris will continue her responsibility as Executive Vice President Digital Customer Experience in leading key company transformation in digitization to deliver a more effective, intuitive, digitally engaged customer experience. Previously, Chris has led Nokia Greater China, Korea & Japan region (Beijing) with US$8b in revenue and with P&L oversight. During her six and a half years tenure at Nokia, Chris also held various global roles including the Senior Vice President of Marketing, where she was responsible for Nokia's Go-To-Market and marketing optimization of US$1b spend across 80 local markets. Prior to joining Nokia, Chris had held various senior management roles in marketing communications firms, including WPP agencies Bates Asia (Hong Kong), Ogilvy Europe (London) and Grey Global Group (Singapore) working with global brand leaders such as P&G, Ford, HSBC, Heineken and various telecommunication brands. During her years as President, South East Asia of Grey Global Group, (2002-2005) she led one of WPP’s most profitable agency businesses. Beyond work, she has also contributed a great deal to important charity groups – from volunteering and support to Hong Kong Mother’s Choice, a group providing care for teenage unplanned pregnancies to babies waiting for adoption. Chris speaks four languages; English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. She is married with two children and is based in Hong Kong.
